I’ve been using the same three addresses for over 5 years and have never had a spam problem. the trick is to be careful who you give your addresses to and to always keep a throw-away account handy in case you do get spam problems.

Interesting idea… one question though… how do I update people on my latest email address? Nothing will stop spam, unfortunately. The Internet comes with it’s price. Spam has made e-mail less attractive to me.

Well, i usually don’t do a temporary email only if i’m really not sure about the site if i’m going to register some where, etc.
Anyhow i just keep my anti spam easy for my self, i get any spam i just block it if it might come from that site, address again and then delete the mail i got. :) And i haven’t had problems with it… yet.

I get spam in my email all the time. Source? Some random user from stickam. Fix? The “Spam” button. Thats all I really can do. But something kind of funny is that quite often emails will end up in my junk folder when i don’t want them to be, like WyldRyde emails. I also have a spam blocker called ACM. I won this at a science fair and I’m not scared to share it. aherbig@acm.org It checks for viruses and spam. Very useful!

I don’t think spam will ever stop, but temporary email addresses are a good way to not be bothered with knowingly signing up for spam. In this case, you wanted to get a Coldplay song but not the newsletter/other stuff that was required to get the song.

Thank you for telling about TemporaryInbox. I didn’t know about this before. There are times I just want to download something or just want to check their demo service. In those times I hate giving my real email address. TemporaryInbox will be a real help.

I actually think that temporary e-mails are a bad idea. If you’re subscribed to something, anyone can access your temporary e-mail and view your e-mails. It’s not private. Temporary e-mails are bad because they attract a lot of people who just register multiple accounts and abuse services.

I have two email accounts. One I consider to by my “primary” and the other to be a “secondary”. I do not call my secondary email address a “temporary” email address because I actually use it fairly often.

My primary email is provided by my Internet Service Provider (Cox Communications) and I get ALOT of spam on that account. These spam messages mostly are about how I can enlarge a certain part of the male anatomy : ). I will admit, however, that I have not even attempted to set up a filter to fix this annoyance.

My secondary email is provided by Google (Gmail) and I NEVER get spam in my inbox. Granted, I do get many spam messages in my “SPAM” folder, which are messages that Google deemed to be spam, and they have been right ever time.

One piece of advise I have for everyone (which I hope most of you know already), is to not reply to spam. This tells the person who originally sent the spam that your email address is valid and active.

My solution to spam e-mails is creating about 5 gmail accounts, and 3 Windows Live hotmail accounts. I would then link all the e-mails together (forward) and give my gmail accounts to people, thus, when i receive spam, the spam would be sent to the gmail account instead of directly into my Main hotmail account. I haven’t had any spam for a long time now.

i shar my email address becuse i have a live stream like you do i am not affrade to give my e-amil to people i have a spam filter i forget what its called But i dont get that much spam … So anyway thanks for the website i will use it alot …. P.s STOP SPAM …lol
