Alberto Martínez Rodríguez asks:
Do you think Lenovo will succeed integrating Motorola in their company like they did with IBM and the Thinkpad brand back in the day?
I think there’s a chance, but… who are those devices for? Are those users already being better served by another product?
Back in the day, just about the most rugged notebook computer you could get came from IBM – until Lenovo took over. Even then, Lenovo held true to what made the Thinkpad such an awesome choice for many people (myself included, because those systems rarely shipped with crapware, were business-oriented, and stood the test of time).
So, if people really want a Motorola device because of the Motorola brand… I think the Lenovo acquisition will be “successful.”
