I've been looking at the same camera, and by the sounds of things i'm making the right choice if I get it. The one I have now isnt the newest, can't wait to get one that will fit in your pocket without a big bulge sticking out :)

I just have to say Gretchen will love the camera. I bought my own Canon S200 only about 3 weeks ago and I can't seem to put it down. Right now I have an 8 mb and 16 mb card but I will be ordering a 128 mb card from Crucial soon. It hooks up rather nicely to the Powerbook too!!

I'm debating taking a photography class (with my lovely PowerShot G2) but with my luck they'd tell me to “throw that digital junk in the garbage and get something real.”
The other day in Best Buy I almost laughed out loud at the young couple shopping for an analogue camera. Admittedly, for a professional photographer film might still rule, but when you're in the market for a medium-priced consumer grade camera not buying digital is stupid. Yet I still see resistance from some people.

I am in the digital camera market myself . . . I am looking at Sony's DSC-P71 . . . Any thoughts? Thanks!
