Desk i do everything on the floor.

As soon as I actually get a home office(which we don’t have the room for right now) I would like to build my own desk. I’ve done it before and that way I can get the desk to fit the space allocated.

Well, i havea small but doable desk. If you want to find desk’s for free, check around your counties. My country has a freecycle program. And people giveaway desk’s and all sorts of things here.

I like the Compartments tip. You definitely need some space to keep extra cords/wires if they aren’t in use.

Don’t forget function and height! You want to be sure to have a desk that is the appropriate height– if possible, simulate your everyday use in the furniture showroom before buying.

And function: Are you interested in podcasting or creating videos like Chris does? a desk with a reflective (acoustically like metal, or visually reflective like glass) surface might not be your best choice. Choose a desk that has good cable management options — imagine the best wooden desk with no holes for your monitor / keyboard to feed through! what a disaster….

Quality is super important to a desk if you would go and by a cheap desk like I have like say at WAL MART or some other store you are taking a risk that your computer could fall or break.

All of this is good Chris. just convince my mom to buy a better desk. we don’t need huge desks in my room, but the living room can use a major overhaul. with a new PC.
