I needed a camera, so i did my research for about a month before I made my decision, and I got what I needed the moment, a decent $100 camera! It works great, and as always I am happy with my purchase. I always check everything out I can about a gadget before I buy it.

these are really great tips. the most important thing before buying a digital camera is to do your research. even a few hours online can save you from making a bad purchase. i bought my digital camera on the spur of the moment and now i wish i had made a different choice and i probably would have if i had waited and read some reviews. so get as much information as you can before buying. you’ll be glad you did.

Thanks for tips Chris, they have been really helpful in the whole camera buying process. There’s just so many choices out there that range from $100 to thousands and it just amazes how much of a variety there is now and how cameras have improved over the years from 4 mega pixels being quite high to quite low now even though they aren’t the most important thing. Another tip I would add is to make sure the camera has the controls you want, some cameras have only automatic settings and you may want some controls over you camera.

Listen to this go and see if u like the camera in a store or something, play with it a little.It could be the desiding factor on the buy or not buying of the camera for sure

I wish I would of seen this before getting my Casio Exilim.
Even though many people say it has a bad picture quality I like the way the pictures
come out, not perfect but good!

Also, think about what mediacard slots you have on your computer…I only have SD so have a camera that uses SD cards

i defenetitly need to buy a good camera soon. My girlfriend bough an pocketdv cam from aiptek with 10 megapixels, but the quality and the handling are very bad.
next time i will look for the quality and not quantity!

if anyone is looking for a good point and shoot camera, and your serious about your photography but dont want to carry a big SLR. Please consider the Canon G9!! Worth every penny. If you do consider this camera please watch the reviews on YouTube.
