Blue… No Yellow!
The built-in Ethernet jack on that Lindows machine seems to have shuffled off its mortal coil, so I'm using this alleged suicide as an excuse to throw Mandrake 9.1 on that baby. We'll see if I can bring the port back to life. Hey, if they can sell subscriptions to borrowing unlimited paperback novels (library, anyone?!), then certainly I (a lowly mortal) can perform such miracles. I gave up on trying to ressurect the built-in WiFi adapter on my test Toshiba. It loved Windows XP Home, but hated Pro. Don't ask me why – and also don't ask me why my handwriting font is now showing up darker than it had been. It's one of those mysteries of the universe – like… what color underwear do I have on right now?

Twas the Night before Call for Help, When all through Chris' house not a hardware problem was solved, not even his buggy PS/2 mouse. The Linux machine was hung, it's Ethernet port not repaired, in the hopes that smart Lockergnomies soon would be there. The Leovillagers were nestled all snug in their beds, with screen captures filling their teeny wittle heads. With Gretchen in her jams and Chris in his pointy cap, they settled down for a much needed nap. When out on the roof there was such a clatter A pshyco fan tried to break in, using a friggin' ladder. Away to the window Chris ran like a flash, and with Gretchen's help he beat the intruder's ass. The moon shined on the new-fallen foe Chris shouted a warning as the corpse fell down below. When what to his eyes should appear, but Martin Sargent and a 24-pack of really cheap beer. With a little heaving and a few flips, they packed the carcass up and went on a trip. With Marty driving, so lively and quick, Chris new in a moment Marty was good at this shit. More rapid than jets, to the woods they came, and dug the poor misguided soul a cool shallow grave. Now Leo! Now Leo! Now Yoshi and Patrick! On, Megan! On, Morgan! On Paul and Peter! To the top of the station! To the men of the law! We keep this night away! Away from them all! Away from them all! With no dry heaves they two did let fly, if hit with an accusation they'll swear to on high So back to Chris' house they flew, with the trunk now cleaned and the car scrubbed too. (That's all I got in my Night Before Xmas thought Chris' blog entry spawned in my sick little head)

I'm still shaking my head over the booksfree.com foolishness. Maybe it's for people who don't have a “libary”? Shut-ins? People with Library Phobia?

Thats real nice. Clicked the Lindows link and right there I saw Chris' face. “This thing kicks a**!” If anything, that picture will make me not want to buy one. Scary…And a romantic walk on the beach, with who else? Our Lindows laptop…and some woman trying to drag you home. “No, honey, I'm trying to see if its waterproof.”

To me, your font was dark the moment I downloaded your font and that was about a month ago. I don't know if that has anything to do with it.
