Blue Angels

The Blue Angels flew into town today and were practicing for this weekend's series of events (apparently, there's a dress rehearsal of the Blue Angels airshow tomorrow morning, with the official shows happening on Saturday and Sunday). We were treated to quite a few flybys, and I had my camera ready to capture a bucketload of Blue Angel action. My dad has never seen the Blue Angels “in person,” so he was more excited than half our block. I whittled down the good shots to ~90 – but to save space, only uploaded resized images. If you see a Blue Angels shot that you'd like to see a larger shot of, please let me know ASAP. Check out the Blue Angels thumbnails first. Come to think of it… I've never really been to an airshow, either?

I have worked more airshows in my 21 years in the Navy for both the Blue Angels and the “THUNDER CHICKENS”, but you my friend have the best view I have ever scene to watch this. Don't move, buy the house you are in!!!

[...] Re: Jet fighters The Blue Angels are Here! August 2, 2006 at 5:52 pm · in Fun, Seattle · Comments · Related I just heard ‘em fly overhead – the Blue Angels are here for Seafair! We’ll be organizing a party for friends this weekend (and I hope we don’t leave anybody out). Since Ponzi and I live on Lake Washington, we have front row seats on our deck for the full performance. I get to watch the pilots practice for the entire week, too – filming ‘em again for posterity. I’m usually not into airplanes and airshows, but the Blue Angels are a huge exception to the rule. Here’s last year’s Blue Angels video if you don’t think they’re worth catching in person. Go Navy! Haven’t seen the Thunderbirds yet. __________________ Today’s Avatar: Greg Kinney-Stylist PlayPoker!
