I didn't think I'd have access to broadband for another two weeks, but (as luck would have it) I'm close enough to someone with an open Wi-Fi signal to use it with my laptop and/or desktop machine. I have their essid in hand, but that really does me no good. I'd just as soon meet IRL and pay them for enabling me to piggyback their signal. Instead of chancing it now, I'll wait until I'm set up on my own connection before making any introductions or writing any cheques. Oh, and my cell phone has absolutely no signal here. Bupkis.

Pay for services? What a novel concept!

Chris, what area are you living in? If you don't mind sharing.
I'm in the San Fernando Valley (Winnetka to be exact) and I was able to have my Road Runner hooked up through Time Warner the day after I moved here.

Well that is cool. Are you in your new place? When are we going to find out what show your on? Sorry about the cell not working. That would kill me. That is if I had a camera phone.

Well, Thats not good if you can get setup for two weeks. It would kill me if I had to go that long with out being online . I can go only a week with no internet unless you do not count the internet enable phone.
:-).
I know what you mean with the cell phone. Here at home my cell works like ****. I have to get out into the city before it has a good signal. :( Maybe it is the area you are in.

I <3 wifi more than Jesus could ever love me!

Glad I finally caught up with you again… took me about, what, 8 months of tuning away from T-tv before I realised that I hadn't seen you and there was nothing I was seeing there that I wanted to stop to see…. speaking of broadband have they all gone into the broadband business? Seems thats all they are touting these days with gumball throughput displays ad nauseum… cheer up :)

The lockergnome isn't on a T1? Say it isn't so! :)

I'm sure the lockergnome site is on a T1, if not something faster.

Just saw your “life”, unbelievable, I mean we are talking Academy Award stuff. Now I know what you are doing AFTER CFH. CFH ain't the same w/o u.
