Beauty and the Geek Video

I don’t watch much TV, but I occasionally get drawn into a Reality series. This is very true of Beauty and the Geek. I can’t help it. I’m a Geek! Did you know that they wanted me to appear on the show… twice?
A couple of years ago, I got a phone call from someone who worked for the show, asking me if I’d like to appear as a contestant. Apparently, the person had seen some of the videos I had done, and thought I’d be good on the show. I thanked them, but let them know I was indeed married. It was a cool offer, though!
Fast forward to now. I received an email from a Producer of the show, saying he had seen my videos on YouTube, and again thought I’d be a great candidate for the show! It’s a different person than before, and a couple of years later. I was flattered, but couldn’t help laughing. I had to explain that I am now married to Ponzi, who is the epitome of “hot wife”. I live Beauty and the Geek on a daily basis, and even stream it live. The Producer laughed as well, then asked if I know of anyone else who may be interested in auditioning…
Hmmmmm the light bulb inside my brain went off! What about all of you out there? Have you considered auditioning? Here are the basic requirements for auditioning and/or being on the show:
- You must be at least 21 years of age (I know I said 18 in the video, as I was writing this up, I found the correct information on their site)
- You must be a US Citizen or permanent resident
- You must not be a candidate for public office and must agree not to become one until at least one (1) year after the initial broadcast of the Program.
- Neither you nor any member of your immediate family or anyone living in your household may be or may have been within the past two (2) years an employee, officer, director or agent of any show producers, networks that may air the program, sponsors of the program, or involved in show prodcution in any way.
- You will need to be available to the production for approximately four weeks or possibly longer, and you must be willing to reside in a location to be designated by Producers.
- If selected as a semi-finalist, you must be willing to submit medical information to the production and submit to a medical examination, psychological examination, and background checks.

A possible twist for the next season of Beauty & the Geek.
You should consider a scenario where the 2 of you (as a successful marriage of beauty & geek) give advice to aspiring beauties and geeks while they are competing on the show. Maybe Ponzi could give advice to the geeks and you to the beauties. Maybe you could be judges ( a la Dancing with the Stars) Having never watched the show, I don’t know how it works, but it might be interesting for the 2 of you to be involved with it (not for free, of course, as your time is valuable)

LOL so far no one video responded. Although you said something about the Big Bang Theory show, yea I was going to watch that show but it started half an hour after the new show I was also starting to watch called “Chuck” both of them are geek related, but Chuck is awesome :).

Funny thing is I tried out for the show twice. The last time (the tryout for season 5) they picked me as a finalist for consideration, but I wasn’t ultimately picked (I was the last one they cut). They said they’d contact me again for season 6. I think it’s awesome they think this much of me to consider me as a contestant on the show haha.
Being a Seinfeld/pro-wrestling loving and air guitar playing geek must be cool right?

What if I’m not 100% beauty and 100% geek? Like.. half beauty/half geek? :P Programmer chic that isn’t quite genious <– can’t spell it, but maybe can model for technology projects.;p
Years ago, I saw the 1st season & thought it was hilarious how the cast had no idea that the show was about “Beauty and the Geek”. I can’t remember what producers told candidates to get them on the show without giving it away.
Anyways, I’ll make it big someday on the Internet! I need a video camera too.
