Awesome New Service
“Long, long ago I asked if you thought a crazy idea of a blogrolling service would fly – and you seemed interested. Well, it's finally live at blogrolling.com. It's new, so I'm still shaking out the cockroaches and adding features, but it seems to be getting pretty good reaction. Especially from people who don't want to edit their HTML every time they change their blogroll or want to add a new friend without a lot of fuss. I figured you might dig it.”
I dig it so much, I've already incorporated it into my blog. And, I'm open again for suggestions. If you're a subscriber, say so. If you're a TechTV viewer, say so. If you're just a blogger and have no friggin' clue what I do for a living, say so. Leave your comments at the beep. Beep!
You rely on your computer, and so do your customers. Keep your computers (and theirs!) running in near-perfect condition with the help of Optimize 3.0. Use it to get rid of unnecessary files and junk, clean out your registry, and even streamline boot times.

I was thinking about starting up a service like this a long time ago cause it's a great idea and it's so simple. I have no idea why I didn't, but I do the same thing using javascript files on my site, I just change it and upload it and it automatically changes on my site.

And Chris, I was meaning to e-mail you telling about my method but I never got around to it. If you snooze, you lose.

It's never too late. Start your own and one up me. Offer new things and push the envelope. That's when it gets fun!

I do know what you do for a living and is a subscriber.
However during those times when I lose the battle with a certain Mr. Daniels and/or a Mr. Walker, I might qualify more in the latter category.

The new service makes me sad, because you've no longer got a link to backupbrain.com. Waaah!

Chris, did you ever check out http://www.xanga.com???
It is fantastic! All you do is click and add users, click to blog and wallah! ..no hassle and no fuss…
Just a suggestion…I tried blogger and found it to be really hard to understand…now, I know blogger is a big site and you like them, but for your readers that don't know that much about html or source codes, Xanga is totally user friendly…
I just wanted you to know…
Thanks again
Tina

Blogrolling is a pretty simple concept, but for those of us that can't program ourselves a way out of a paper bag I'm glad the service is available. Thanks for posting about it!

i would use it, but i am picky (unfortunately). i noticed on your weblog, chris, that where you have “blogrolled” link lists, you don't have the spaces before each link, like where it is on the other non link lists. but i do agree, that if i weren't so damn nitpicky (sigh) i would use it right away.

The blogrolls are done in a div tag so with CSS you can set the spacing and margins or whatever you like. It's all up to you to determine how it looks on your server.

I like the sidebar feature of blogrolling, and notice that you can also run it full-screen. See the link on my http://bloggist.com

That looks like crap though. I should make a switch to purdy it up if not in a sidebar.
