Can’t you just press: Windows Key + R (This is how you get onto run on Vista) then type in: control userpasswords2 ?

I know you can do this on XP.

A little correction of the above, and thanks for the help as well:

Where you above write: “UNcheck the box next to “Users should enter a username and password to use this computer”, and then press OK. ”

There should be: “UNcheck the box next to “Users should enter a username and password to use this computer”, and then press Apply. ”

Many good ways to do same thing.

However, still many want to be able to login directly on one userid and still have the others around if needed.

I’ve been a Linux user for years now, and Vista has really blown me away. I haven’t encountered ANY software incapabilities and the system has frozen only once for me over Fx.

I game a lot and a stable system is a must; Vista has blown XP out of the water for me. Here is the problem: Vista works for most people, but not for all. I haven’t used one system (Vista) that has had any problems so I can’t counter anything you have said previously.

All of my hardware worked flawlessly and still does to this date. Vista is far better than XP when it works.

Actually, if you hibernate (instead of shutting your PC) each time you are are done for the day, Vista will not prompt you for a password the next time you switch your PC back on.

Back on Vista so soon Chris? Well I look forward to reading another rant anyways ha ha. But seriously you should review SP1 for us! Are there improvements? Any big differences? Performance? Stuff like that. Like you I want to use and love vista, already love the new GUI “Aero”. Unfortunately I can’t love something that has so many issues… mainly driver issues, and this is on a laptop that is Windows Vista Ultimate Ready! Anyways my 400 dollar copy of Windows Vista Ultimate continues to collect dust. Its been three months.. could it be time for me to give Vista another shot to?? Windows XP is so fast though…
