Winter Safety Driving Tips
- Dont drive when you’re tired. If you’re well-rested, you reduce your risk of having an accident (even during warm weather!).
- Don’t warm up your car in your garage. It will put out toxic fumes which can make you quite ill – or cause death.
- Keep an eye on your tires. Proper tire inflation can help with traction on icy roads.
- Make sure your gas tank stays above the half-full mark. This will help make sure your gas lines don’t freeze during extreme temperatures.
- Never EVER use your cruise control when driving on slippery, icy roads.
- Remember to keep your eyes where you want to go, and steer towards that. Avoid the urge to fight against the ice.
