The earliest iterations almost seemed seizure-inducing and the whites were more of a harsh blue-white tone. Like the compact fluorescent bulbs, they seem to be evolving. There are some really nice ones available this year, so I took the plunge and replaced the old-fashioned lights with the LED's.

The LED’s available this year seem to offer more variety in terms of the outer, decorative bulb shape and texture. I can only hope to impress Clark Griswald :)But to be honest, I don't like the look of the LED lights especially outside. They don't offer the same 'look' if you will. I do admit that they are much more environmentally friendly but I think I am going to hold out. Good review !

I love Christmas! We bought tree lights three years ago thinking that we would never have to buy new lights again . . . LEDs rarely burn out. Unfortunately, the not so in-expensive lights started having problems last year and it looks like we will be buying new ones this year. I have no idea of how to verify quality of these products, but will be looking into it further before my next purchase.

I really like the idea of LED decorations.
