I can’t use google video yet! I use linux! I’m faithful that we linux users will get it eventually!

So far it doesn’t work with Linux, so I’ll keep on using Skype for video-chats… I do however use Googletalk in Pidgin, but it is text-only…

Handy if you’ve got the tools. This sort of thing might get monitor makers to put cameras in their screens. Mac users will probably get the most benefit.

Google has also added theming to Gmail! I particularly love the terminal theme and the planets themes. The terminal one might be difficult for those who can’t stand just text-based interfaces.

Unfortunately, Google doesn’t have the video feature working for Linux users. It doesn’t make much sense, since Linux users support Google a lot of the time and vice versa. Plus, their new mobile OS uses the kernel! Oh well. I guess I’ll be sticking to other methods for video chatting, such as Skype.

If you want to make Gmail more like a “desktop” client, you can try Prism by Mozilla, and setup a shortcut for Gmail. It works similarly to a desktop client because you don’t have to deal with the browser. The only thing is that I wish oit was capable of saving you password and immediately logging to the service you’re trying to use with Prism.
