My first open water dive was in Maui, guaranteed to get you addicted when you start that way. The instructor and I chased a sea turtle (no chance of catching one in open water). I have dived off the big island and in the Florida Keys also. I have also dived in quarries in Indiana in the winter. The water is cold, but the visibility is good at that time of year. I'm now living in Florida and will start diving on a regular basis down here. Scuba diving is incredible! My first open water dive was in Maui, guaranteed to get you addicted when you start that way. I've been diving sine I was 16, and it is very addictive. Once you get the feel for warmer water, it becomes a "NEED" not just a form of recreation. Although it is the best way to explore a brand new world, I hope your pocket book can keep up! ****Warning**** Scuba Diving is addictive.

I was lucky in that I had all my classoom work in Connecticut and then the open water dives in St. Croix. Such beauty in the ocean below! Good for you Ponzi, don't stop!!!
