It just won Apple's Best Mac Software award, and for good reason. Of course its Mac only, but it blows all other screen recording software out of the water.

You cannot talk about video tutorials or screencasting without mentioning ScreenFlow. This software is makes it very hard to read anything that is being recorded. Sure you can track the mouse, but it is a lot easier for the watcher to be able to actually see what is going on.

For screen recorders:

1) I highly recommend Camtasia Studio, but if you don’t want to spend the money:

2) I also recommend BSR Screen Recorder 4, which is a free program, but unlike other free programs, you can actually read everything on the screen.

3) I DO NOT recommend CamStudio. And yep, I like more the tutorials "pirillo" way, like just explain things naturally, not like giving steps and.. I don't know.. you get the idea...

I totally agree with having voice on tutorials, thos that use notepad or word or stuff like that are just annoying.
