Anti Virus Software Suggestions and Coupons
http://live.pirillo.com/ - There is no perfect anti-virus or anti-spyware program, but is there one that could be crowned the best? Turtleneck37 asks "I was just wondering what, in your opinion is the best Anti-Virus program and the best Anti-Spyware program."
Chris’s opinion is that there is no single best anti-virus or anti-spyware program. Your best bet is using the program that fits your computing habits. Sometimes it can be the one that is installed on your computer by default, and sometimes you’ll need to experiment to find the anti-virus that’s right for you. Running separate applications for viruses, hackers, adware, and spyware can slow your PC, be difficult to manage, and provide questionable protection. Beware of large, bloated internet security suites that consume hundreds of megabytes on your PC. These typically exist because vendors have acquired products and ‘bundled’ them together. In contrast, ESET NOD32 was designed from the core as a single, highly-optimized engine that works as a unified Anti-Threat system to protect against a broad spectrum of malware. Viruses, worms, spyware, and other malicious attacks, which are constantly evolving. ESET NOD32 utilizes patent-pending ThreatSense Technology to detect tomorrow’s threats in real-time, by analyzing code execution for malicious intent - keeping you ahead of the malware-writers.

There are lots of good AV software choices. Kaspersky has been my choice. 97.* % detection rate of unknown threats in the wild. (according to virus bulletin)
I don’t rely on any one AV product. I will usually use some of the online virus scans just to get a second opinion. Like at the Doctors office. What one Dr. doesn’t catch another might.. Its been a solid system for me.
Although, Its been the spy/crapware that has been a bigger problem.
For this I use: PestPatrol, AVG-antispyware, Adaware, spybot, ccleaner.. I am pretty sure all mentioned here are free too.
If really serious about getting rid of the virii/pests you can do what I did, use Linux..

Exceptional software
search-and-destroy is an exceptional software. My computer was plagued with pop-ups and spywares. I tried many other programs that didn’t solve the problem. But this software found over 50 threats that were not detected by other software’s. My pc is now adware and spyware free.

Try and protect your computer.
If you are like me then you have probably tired many different types of scans to try and protect your computer. There are many different options available but I have found that most of them pick up the same bugs whether you pay for the scan or download a free version. Search-and-destroy Antispyware (Search-and-destroy) is one of the best that I have found so far and it cost less than many of the other well-known scans on the market today. If you are searching for a good scan I suggest that you check out the antispyware solution from Search-and-destroy.
