Never watched it. Never will. I find it disappointing to expect good new reporting on real events when I find “A.I. this.” or “A.I. that.” instead of reports.

Disgusting. If I wanted to know what’s going on with A.I. I’d watch it. For all the reporting agencies–you lose with me if you find it “important” to report about A.I.

Okay, I am a bit slow but watching Simon and Paula on American Idol is not a priority. Watched it a couple of times and it ruined any desire for ANY reality shows. Glad I missed the Seattle night, seems there are too many meanies in real life.

You’re not alone, Chris. I hate American Idol. I do listen to Kelly Clarkson. And I’m enjoying what I’ve heard of Katherine McPhee. But if anything American Idol was a point against them when I started listening.

I was in the first 100 people in line at the season 2 auditions in Pasadena. The producers handed me a bullshit contract to sign before they’d let me audition, so I walked away and never looked back.

It’s a terrible show that takes horrendous advantage of its talent.

I have never watched American Idol, nor do I intend to. The local TV & radio stations play “clips” from the show & that constitutes my exposure to American Idol. In fact most of the “reality” shows are scripted and are not “real” so I have never watched Survivor, Amazing Race, etc. My one guilty pleasure is “Dancing with the Stars”. Now you have heard from at least one American citizen who didn’t watch American Idol last night.

I don’t normally watch it, but I couldn’t resist tuning in for at least a little bit since they were showing Seattle. It was pretty horrific, though, and they kept talking about how Seattle was a “talent vacuum” and how they were never coming back.

I hate A.I. and other “reality shows”. I am still in disbelief when I hear people at work discussing the latest episodes of not just one, but several reality shows that they watch on a nightly basis. They all have practically the same premise, the same dysfunctional type of people on them, so you would think the general public would be over them by now. I’m sorry, but the thought of wasting endless hours of my precious free time watching that crap does not appeal to me in the slightest.

To this day I have never seen a single episode of American Idol. Which is considered heresy by some around here as I live in Birmingham Alabama, which (as I understand) is home to a couple of the winners.

Just can’t justify wasting my life on a soap opera when there’s quality entertainment out there, like oh say Dirty Jobs or Mythbusters.
