First off, reduce the price of the device to around $100. Second, reduce the price of the e-books to a flat $2.00, and allow the DRM to be modified to the extent that I can make fair use copy without any further restrictions. At that point, I would buy the device, and probably wear out some of the keys while I downloaded everything in sight.

I feel about this the same way I thought about the original Mac when it was first introduced — it represents half the capacity I want at twice the price I am willing to pay.

But inside this is a super idea, if they can just get their greed receptors turned down a notch. Surely I think Kindle is here to stay. This is only V1. Maybe V4 or V9 would entice everyone.Have Kindle reach one million hands and we'll see self publishers for Kindle. I think it is possible.[I can't believe there was not such a device till now.]

Well not reading on a Kindle and don’t think I’d in the recent future.
