What I learned about the Seattle Airport is that if you live outside of Seattle, the best bargain is to stay at a hotel that offers a week of free parking and shuttle when you stay for a night. A night on return will get you two.

I like SeaTacPark the best. If you have a Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards card it's $10 a day. Pricier than others, but service is good.

Chris, Shuttle Express is wonderful. It's $13 each way and really nice service door to door. Metro's bus service is okay -- don't take the 174 unless you want to stop at each...and....every...stop along the way. The 194 (an express) is best to take.
Hope this helps.

Do yourself a favor leave the BMW at home. I would not trust it in the lots or the parking garage. If you have a less favored car take that. If you park in the garage park near as possible to the elevators in the center of the garage closest to the terminal and leave NOTHING in the open (throw it in the trunk). The port police patrol the garage but the vandals have been getting more aggressive the past few months. Have a good trip!

The holiday rush is over, all of the nearby airport lots are well below capacity. While you could get a reservation, it isn't necessary, you might want to hunt for a coupon for a better rate, most lots have a web coupon.
SeaTacSelfpark
masterpark
Shuttlepark2
Shuttlepark
Dougfoxparking (closest, though most expensive)
Thrifty Parking
Also the nearby hotels such as the Radisson Seatac offer airport parking.
