Adventures in Cream
Ack! Every other pint of heavy whipping cream has this crap called Carrageenan. For some reason, it gives me a headache. Clover could be counted on to deliver a quality product, but it's only available at local Whole Foods stores – one around the corner from my apartment, and the other sits further down the 101. Either they're temporarily out of stock, or they're just not interested in keeping my store in stock. When I went back this afternoon, they had Alta Dena cartons on the shelf – which were previously known to have carried icky preservatives. When I inspected the label, the only ingredient was pure cream. I brewed a pot of coffee to give 'er the taste test, and this is just disgusting. I'm gonna “have to” drive down the road and pray that my brand can be found at the next possible grocery location. I may have to wait until later this evening to leave in order to avoid traffic congestion. I suppose I could call ahead, but… where's the fun in that?

Well, perhaps since it is a “gelling” agent, you're getting headaches because it's causing the blood in your brain to gel.
Hence the dialogue:
Guy 1: Are you Gellin'?
Guy 2: DUHHHHHHH?
Hmm…it sounded much funnier before I wrote it down. Ignore this.

Possible allergens asside. How can someone who eats fast-food bacon guacamole burgers complain about carrageenan in their cream?

You could always try your coffee the way nature intended…black, with no sugar. Cream is bad enough..don't ever defile the bean with Coffee-Mate !! ;-)

The best coffee is alwys the coffee with the most caffiene, coffe wasn't brewed for flavor, it was brewed to wake your ass up. Now yes a nice Khula Vinnila Cream in the morn is a smooth ride, but you still drink it to have a swift kick in the bum. Coffee is ver good when it has those flavors, but I like my coffee with atleast 200mg of caffiene, like the one I just finnished awhile ago. It was a home brew mix of like 7 coffee's from Wal-Mart 5 red bulls and 2 bottles of Bawls!!! Caffiene is ust awsome, it wake u up and gives you energy, makes you alert and the best part of it all is it makes your mind dharp!!!

“it makes your mind *dharp* !!!” ?
….Maybe, but it doesn't help your typing accuracy, although it does seem to have an effect on the quantity…..I like my mind as it is,not dharp thanks…

So… this carrageenan stuff seems to be in everything from toothpaste to spark plugs. Is it actually bad for us?
