After reading a post from Steve Lacey on a local entrepreneur's organization (NWEN, Northwest Entrepreneur Network), I flipped to their site and searched for more information. No blog, no RSS, nothing but a couple of email newsletters. Oh, but they do have podcasts – kinda, but not really. They say they have podcasts – so, where are the RSS feed(s) for them? If you don't have feeds for files, they're not podcasts – stop calling them podcasts unless you're going to provide a feed for the files. And if you are going to provide a feed, then don't bury it in your site. JUST BECAUSE YOU PUT AN MP3 FILE ON YOUR SERVER DOES NOT MAKE IT A PODCAST – PODCASTING IS A PROCESS, NOT A FILE OR A GENRE!
