go into the “videos” section, update tags may not work (all the time) on the video’s main page, but it works well for me in “videos” list. Make sure to copy your tags before saving them into youtube, that will save you some frustration just in case they don’t save. Their is also about a four or five line tag limit.

thanks for your tips. When I choose the suggested tags on youtube, it removes the tags I’ve already typed in. That is puzzling and annoying. Also on youtube’s suggested tags, it has + signs. Are we advised to use + signs in the tag section and/or commas?

Thanks for all your thoughts Chris. I have one question that has been on my mind for quite some time. I have had some success with youtube. In an organic search result of the term “clarinet” I come up 6th right now. Was 2nd for about 2 years even though I have only seen an increase of views per day over that same time period. My question is, will paying to promote one of my videos help with my organic search results? If I have good content, the more people subscribing and viewing the video makes me think that the organic search result could get better. If anyone has thoughts on this, please consider writing me through youtube! Thanks!

Hello,
I am new to youtube and I have had a few stumbling blocks.
My first was that it took me 3-4 days to upload my videos and now I have narrowed that down to 3-4 hours. I use Windows Live Movie Maker (3G laptop with Windows7) but what do you suggest I use to make my upload faster? Or should I expect this time to be the best I can get?
Next, and newest issue, I am trying to get the direct links to each of my youtube videos but I am having a terrible time. So far I can only give my friends the direct link to my channel. Can you let me in on these two secrets please?

OMG these are fabulous!!! I am already doing several of them (only because I may be half as brilliant as you) but YAY and whew, I’m glad I found you!
