43 Things
Through Lee, I had the chance to meet 43 guys today – but only 6 bothered to show up! 5 of the 6 were from The Robot Co-op – the folks responsible for bringing us 43 Things. 1 of the 6 is a co-pilot for Start.com. 7 of 9 was not there. It was quite a geeky lunch, wherein I learned that one of the Robots (Erik Benson) crafted All Consuming. And what about Bob? He just wouldn't stop talking.
We dined at the world-famous Ballet restaurant in Seattle, known for its name-memorizing waitstaff. Ivan and Daniel were at another table, just finishing up their Pad Thai when we arrived. Daniel's band (Maktub) appeared on the local NPR station this afternoon (KUOW). Neat!
So, after hearing Josh share a bit about what goes on behind the scenes every day, I was introduced to Credit Card Roulette. When it came time to pay for the meal, we all tossed in a piece of plastic and watched Erik shuffle 'em up. I was the chosen one, having been given the opportunity to reach under the table and yank out a winner. Guess who paid for lunch? Erik. Guess he didn't shuffle well enough?
