People like to collect things, and — if you’ve ever seen my Darth Vader collection — I’m no exception. But when there’s a digital option for things like books, music, games, and movies, I’m usually going to take it over the physical version every time. More room on the shelves for more Vaders, right?
If I’m even luckier — as the past few years have blessed me and the like-minded — there’ll be a subscription option for such content. Having access to an entire virtual library of books, music, games, and movies that I don’t have to buy, piece by piece, or organize in any way beyond searching and pressing a “play” button, is sort of a dream come true.
Here are just some of the reasons why I prefer content subscriptions vs. buying a la carte.
