Comments on: Is Your Head – or Your Computer – in the Cloud? Geek Culture & Tech Expert: How Can I Help You Today? I agree things like Google Docs have potential and will launch quicker in the future. It might replace the traditional word processor.

But I would not like an OS that is run on the Internet. There are always ways to get into stuff, more easily if it open to everyone, even with security and what not, someone somewhere along the line will find some way to hack into someone personal files. I want a HD OS that I can use when I want to write something personal. An OS should be on the hard drive, and the Internet should stay seperate from and OS.

Here is my 2 cents for now. God damn, I could go on for weeks on this topic, but I am going to stop here, and perhaps I will write something on this myself and make it the base for an improved site….

Who knows we will see what happens.

Kind of like how every application on your computer right now has to “phone home” everyday for updates. Back in the era of Win95/WIn98 this didn’t happen.
