personally I like windows and mac os and I have never found a good reason to hate any of them. except for viruses but I browse on my mac anyways 🙂

By: Max Swisher Fri, 26 Jun 2009 06:05:03 +0000 I used windows for 6 years. Last year I got an alinum MacBook and I now live the mac life, and rant about how much more awesome it is than a pc, which I know from 6 years of personal experience. I’m never ever ever ever going back!

By: Cesar Sat, 17 Jan 2009 05:02:42 +0000 well mac is good but not my type but it is good for first time users

By: Brian Fri, 09 Jan 2009 20:27:38 +0000 I have used both but I get more done on my pc since I have time saving software on it that only runs on windows.

I also prefer windows mostly cause everything seems to be a bit delayed for mac or linux. For example, netflix instant watch was out working with windows without a problem for well over a year before it worked on mac.

I don’t want to wait for fixes for it to work on a mac or linux. I want to use whatever it out there now. And it will always be first on windows.

So really it’s not an issue of a mac being a bad operating system, it’s just an issue of being able to use ALL my software not just some of it.

I can tell you. It’s simply because there are programs that
are written only for Windows. No Mac version available,
At work, our parts lookup software won’t run on a Mac.

By: Maradnus Tue, 16 Dec 2008 06:12:18 +0000 I know nothing about Windows like nothing really nothing…
But the one thing I do know is that I had a PC for a year and learnt nothing about how the thing worked, or what things you could do with it. I mite add that Im a fast learner and am not scared to try new stuff. I was a noob to computers and wanted to get stuck in. I had herd people say mac’s were better, and for pro’s, bla bla but It made no difference to me I wanted to compute mac or pc that was that. So I got a PowerBook 667 (or a PowerBook 666 as I’d like to think) cos a mate told me that If you want to make music it has to be a Mac full stop. And I indeed wanted to. I knew 2 mac users 1 in Germany and one in Italy, I’m in England and I still chose the Mac. Plus I wasn’t even online 😀
And in 6 months I could setup a network, trouble shoot, use the terminal-ish, and started to understand how computers work. and all I really wanted to do was make music and do techie things to be cool.. lol
I did all this offline alone and had used that PC for a year and nothing. it was work to do any thing play a film locate a file horrid thing. It would get a problem and all my mates would do this and do that say I need this and to do that and if this happens cos it will do that. I’d have no idea what they would do but they knew better… lol so the thing never worked propa and I had no skill with it to do much about it. Only with the Mac has It been smooth, I know more than some of my fully trained mates on the fixing them side and I only got online last year. I had the PC in 2000 and Titan (My PowerBook) in 2001 and he’s still going strong…

The thing that gets me is why there has to be the better one. The mac works for me just fine I would love to play with Linux but there’s no Logic. it’s mac only 😀

I Love my mac’s every one and I wont use a PC they are horrid. windows looks foul why pay to look at that after all all you have to do is save up a little they aren’t so much more expensive. for the peace of mind you get after and you don’t need a Training to use it.

The mac was the first successful computer and maybe the only If it wasn’t for bill taking the prototype for his own devious plan to take over the world HA HA HA.

Anyway I think mac’s are better cos thats what I’m in too. And should you have to touch a PC or ever use one wash your hands with boiling water. lol

By: Steve Tue, 16 Dec 2008 01:33:45 +0000 Top 5 reasons to buy a Mac this Christmas.

1. Clicking the ‘Start’ button isn’t simple enough.
2. Why spend $349 @ Fry’s so you can surf the web, do e-mail, create documents and edit photos when you can spend $1500 at the Mac Store.
3. Your older brother uses Windows and you have middle child syndrome.
4. You saw an advertisement on TV and everyone knows people that use Mac’s are cool and those who use Windows are geeks.
5. Steve Jobs is good and Bill Gates is the devil.

By: Grady Joslin Thu, 11 Dec 2008 01:54:54 +0000 I switched back to mac, oh, probably back in 2001. My first mac was a Powermac 867mhz Quicksilver. I just fell in love with OS X. Before that I used to Windows and still to from time to time. I’ll be honest, I just don’t like how Windows work.

It just feels clunky, sluggish, and just frustrating to use. But at the same time I understand other people like it and can make it run better than I can. I am happy for them. But with OS X, I like using it. It fits my tastes, my preferences, its me.

I just tell people anymore it comes down to taste and what you like. Theres enough software out for both. Honestly, how many word document applications do you really need? If you need Microsoft Office, cool it runs native in OSX. Need Access? No problem, install vmware/Windows or Bootcamp/Windows and there you go.

The need to gripe “well thats too hard.” Honesty, doesn’t matter what platform you use, there are always task that seems you have to do 20 things to make it work. Its a computer.

Use what you like. Its all about preferences anymore.

Good post Ky! 🙂

By: Keyboard Thu, 11 Dec 2008 00:00:50 +0000 I think running just one is stupid any more. There are so many good things with windows and there is so many even better things in osx. I say screw it all and use both. I use both and what one can’t do, the other can or a combination of the two.

By: Killa Wed, 10 Dec 2008 23:45:07 +0000 I guess it’s time to come clean. I run a hackintosh. I admit it. I worked for over 4 weeks to get it just right. It runs… Ok. Nothing like a real mac, but it’s better than windows. Now.. Where does that put me? Windows user or mac user? I think I fall right in between. LOL.
