Subject: Bose Coupons
Hi Chris, I’m still following your blog with pleasure. I was wondering if you have any coupons for the Bose on ear headphones. I already gave it a try at tagjag, but it didn’t really turn any results. All the best, Moritz
I’m originally from the great state of Iowa. Some nice folks in Kansas asked me to present their Keynote speech at their welcome back orientation. At some point during the live presentation, the video feed died. So, I re-recorded this video. I have to thank the people at Southwestern College for giving me the opportunity to share the Do’s and Dont’s of Social Networking.
I’ve had the opportunity to test a variety of GPS devices over the years. They’ve always been just ‘ok’ in terms of usability. My favorite one is the one right on the iPhone. What’s missing is the ability to track where you’ve been, or share with your family where you’re going. I found out about a free application that works on the iPhone, and several other devices. InstaMapper allows you to track a person or vehicle online in real time using a GPS-enabled cell phone.
I am still enjoying my iPhone, despite the fact that version 2.0 of the operating system has been anything but great. I’ve experienced a great degree of consternation over this device that seems to lose its power within hours. I know I could turn things off like the Bluetooth, but then what’s the point of having it? I’ve tried several different external batteries, and none of them have really won me over. So, I decided to try out the Mophie Juice Pack. It comes in several different colors, and has models available for all varieties of iPods and iPhones.
I recently bought an iMac, to keep programs running on it that I don’t necessarily want going all the time on my main machine. I have it set up on one corner of my desk. However, something about the monitor setup just wasn’t ‘right’. I had to find some kind of stand that would work perfectly with the iMac, and my office decor. I found the exactly the right thing, after just a bit of searching.
I had a Targus laptop cooler that was working ok, but I just didn’t like the look of it. It was encased in cheap plastic. So, I did some research and found what I feel will be the perfect laptop cooler for me. The best part is that several people have recommended this one lately. It’s a Zalman ZM NC1000 Notebook Cooler.
Hi Chris! Love your Web feed, quite amusing. I’m interested in the KORG KAOSSILATOR and was wondering if you had any vouchers for Thinkgeek.
ThinkGeek has a $10 off $50 or $5 off $25 coupon that I posted below. It’s good until the end of 9/30/08. So with the coupon you can get the KORG KAOSSILATOR for $189.99.

ustreamer-79507: where is the best place to buy mac minis at low prices?
If you’re looking for a new Mac mini with an Intel Processor I would go with MacMall. They’re consistently the cheapest of the merchants that I buy from. If you’re looking for a deal on a used one (especially the older G4s) I’d try eBay.
The latest Gnomedex wrapped up last Saturday, and the feedback we have seen thus far has been amazingly positive. The general consensus seems to be that people came away energized, impassioned, and empowered. The wide variety of excellent speakers brought laughter, tears, knowledge and food for thought to the table.
If you hear music playing in the background of this video, it’s a video game. We were getting ready for Gnomedex when this was recorded, and Maryam Scoble was here playing the game. She really wants one of these game arcades, but Robert is a meanie and won’t get her one! So anyway, I’m planning to give away some software tonight. The Mac Bundle Box was given away, courtesy of my friend Christian.
The BlueAnt Z9I headset is very cool. It’s not just Bluetooth, it charges by USB. It’s a proprietary connector, but it comes with the cable. The nice thing is that you can pair this one headset with up to five devices. You can use it anywhere you can well, pair it.
As I quickly came to discover, the iPhone 3G has relatively lackluster battery life. It has been said that of all the 3G phones out there, it does well. That doesn’t help me much at the end of the day. Some people tell me to turn off WiFi, but then what is the purpose for having upgraded at all? I also have run into iPhone issues that have nothing to do with the battery life… such as the stability of the new operating system. Every third party App I try to launch, it will crash. Even if I try to launch the iPhone remote… crash. But, back to the battery life. It’s something you’re going to have to deal with. There are a variety of external battery packs available, thankfully.
Believe it or not, this mStation 2.1 Stereo Tower was made for an iPod. Yes, it’s big. But man oh man does it ever work! The base is a-pumpin’ when the music is a-thumpin’. Er… something like that. There’s also a USB port so you can charge and/or Sync your iPod from it if you want. It won’t work with the iPhone, it wasn’t made for that. You can connect other devices to it, as well. I hooked up the Korg Kaossilator to it.
