How to Download You Tube Videos

So, I've been exchanging emails with the author of YouTubeDownload. He just sent me the link to the latest revision, which does even more for people who want to download videos from YouTube. Chances are, you're already using a tool or online (Web) service to download and transcoded for you - but I was looking for more.
Specifically, I'm hoping to (one day) be able to automatically download an embedded video from ANY page with embedded flash, tag that file (with metadata like Title, Author, Description, etc.)., then save the file in a variety of pre-specified formats. I'm a step closer to the auto-conversion with this (included) batch file for ffmpeg. After you've downloaded an FLV from YouTube, you can use the free YouTubeDownload tool to render that file in a different format.
However, there's an "all in one" setting which will save that FLV (or just about any video, for that matter) in a variety of formats. This batch file is editable by the user, and has been optimized specifically for the videos that are available throughout YouTube:
ffmpeg -i %1 -ab 64 -ar 22050 -b 500 -s 320x240 -ac 1 %1.m4v
ffmpeg -i %1 -ab 64 -ar 22050 -b 500 -s 320x240 -ac 1 %1.mp4
ffmpeg -i %1 -ab 12 -ar 8000 -b 30 -s 176x144 -ac 1 %1.3gp
ffmpeg -i %1 -ab 56 -ar 22050 -b 50 -s 320x240 -ac 1 %1.wmv
ffmpeg -i %1 -vcodec xvid -ab 64 -ar 22050 -b 200 -s 320x240 -ac 1 %1.avi
ffmpeg -i %1 -ab 128 -ar 22050 -b 500 -s 320x240 -ac 2 %1.mp3
Do you have any other video formats that could or should be added to this list? So far, this is the closest thing I've found for YouTube video download perfection. In this latest beta, according to the author:
- New FFMPEG version SVN-r7760
- Load and Show program's icon in System Tray
- Right click to icon to show the menu
- Possibility to select your default download folder
- Logging videos downloaded (Show/Delete history videos...)
- Show the title of video in "Save As" dialog window (when possible!!)
- Display a message box if video is removed, banned or not avaiable... :(
I've asked for even more possibilities moving forward - including the ability to overlay a graphic atop the encoded file, then an FTP option (which I'd only ask for as a video producer - not for stealing content without proper attribution).
