Linksys decided to take the complexity out of increased quality of service for specific traffic by releasing their OGV200 Network Optimizer, which sits between your cable modem and router to make sure both gaming and voice packets get priority over everything else. You don’t need a Cisco certification to make it work. Just plug in the appropriate cables and start reducing game lag or optimizing call quality. At eFocus outside E3, Chris talked with Bijan Yaminafshar on Linksys about the Network Optimizer, how it works and how both gaming and voice quality is improved.
