Pedometer Walking

Since I've started to track my daily input and output through CalorieKing's desktop software, it's been suggested that I also track my daily steps. I'd say I walk an average of… maybe 25 feet during the day? From the bedroom to the computer. Of course, I'm not allowing for short trips to the fridge for yogurt, I suppose. Just to get a handle on my walking habits, I've gotta get a pedometer. There are so many of 'em out there, and I'm really not keen on pedometers that come with diet cereal. I did a quick search for pedometers and turned up plenty of results. Problem is: I don't know what I'm looking for in a walk-tracker. Just to give you an idea, here are the top results from an Amazon search:

Gada.be Favicons

Okay, we've been silent for a while – but for good reason. I can't share that reason with you right now, but I hope to be able to do so soon enough. Last night, I stumbled into a site run by Douglas – specifically, a page about Dynamic News Feeds. I flipped out when I saw all the favicons; I love favicons. Immediately, I believed that Douglas had retrieved these icons automatically from the feeds – but that may not have been the case (as evidenced by his favicon tool entry). Moments later, he had pointed me to an offsite script – and then hours later, he had built another one for himself. I showed them to Shayne, and he did something that I have never seen in a search engine:
