The "Why Outlook 2003 Sucks" Challenge

I'm tired of people telling me that Outlook 2003 doesn't suck. The fact of the matter is: it DOES suck, and I can prove it by running Outlook 2000 on a slower machine next to Outlook 2003 on a newer machine. They made UI design choices that were just plain wrong. There was virtually no QA done on this product – and I can point out how and where. Let me just sum up my argument by making just a *FEW* blanket statements that cannot be proven incorrect:

That Darn Outlook PST

Seems I forgot to compact one of my PSTs in Outlook (which I should've done frequently). It's now over the 2GB barrier and I had to truncate the last 100MB from it. Thankfully, it was only my NewsGator folder. Perhaps it's time I move away from Outlook as a news aggregator? FeedDemon has only gotten better with time, and it's a lot less unweildy as an information manager. Ponzi Hates Technology!

Not exactly front page news, but Ponzi's had it up to HERE with DRM and portable music players (including the stupid little iPod Shuffle):

Fair cost in my mind doesn't have much to do with dollars and cents; it mainly just has to make sense – in my non-technical mind. It has to be friendly and useful, not take too much time during the learning curve, and must be intuitive to my next desires should I make a mistake. This is where it would pay for all you smart “marketing gurus” to listen.

Yeah, I know that even something as rudimentary as podcasting is a pain in the ass – I admit it. Managing regular ol' digital music ain't that much easier, either. It's absolutely, positively not simple. Anybody who says “this stuff” is simple oughta be drug out into the middle of the street and shot.
