Marketing in a Box

Yesterday, I drove downtown to Pioneer Square to meet up with David Geller (he's the WhatCounts guy who makes my life oh-so-much simpler). Our respective schedules are pretty hectic, but we were finally able to squeeze in a late lunch. I was running late, so I offered to pick up the tab. We hit a local Korean place and the meat dish was absolutely wonderful. David and I talked about various things, including Gnomedex in Seattle. Every Vote Counts

Rock the vote! The Blog Business Awards have been announced, and… apparently, I won the Chris Pirillo Award (For Shameless Self Promotion). Not sure what that gets me, but it was an honor just to be nominated. And no, I didn't vote for myself. Sadly, I didn't vote at all. I'm a registered voter and everything – but the lines in my district were just way too long. I hear that in some places, they closed the polls early and turned people away! If you voted for me, then thank you. If you didn't vote for me, you probably voted for yourself in this particular category (which is probably why I pulled ahead as a winner with a one vote margin if my mom and dad each voted for me). Vote or die? Well, I'm not dead – but never let it be said that every vote doesn't count. Er, every vote counts (apologies for the double negative). Next year, vote early and often – because for my next term, I promise to be nothing but a lame duck.
