My Summer Vacation
We had quite a few adventures on the water this week, but it's good to be home again. I'd probably do another cruise at some point in the future, although I'd probably pick different destinations. Perhaps an Alaskan one? Royal Carribean treated us very well, but I'd be interested in investigating other lines before deciding. The highlight of the trip was probably when I climbed one of those rock walls. No big deal for the average person, but for someone who isn't too fond of heights, it was a fear overcome. I'm more of an arachnophobe than an acrophobe, but that didn't make it any less nerve-wracking. I was ready to turn around after being only three feet off the ground. The only thing that got me up the wall was adrenalin - I didn't even trust the harness.
I'm Another Year Older Now
Well, it's officially my birthday. I'll be away from the computer for a few days, so I uploaded these fish to keep everybody entertained until I can return.

Lookout for Outlook - Look out!
For Microsoft Outlook users: “Lookout is lightning-fast search for your email, files, and desktop works with Microsoft Outlook. Built on top of a powerful search engine, Lookout is the only personal search engine that can search all of your email from directly within Outlook - in seconds. You can use Lookout to search your: Email messages; Contacts, calendar, notes, tasks, etc.; Data from exchange, POP, IMAP, PST files, Public Folders; Files on your computer or other computers.” The direct download link on Microsoft's site works, but here's the irony - if you look on the alleged details page, it currently says: “The download you requested is unavailable. If you continue to see this message when trying to access this download, you might try the 'Search for a Download' area on the Download Center home page.” Even when you search for it, Lookout doesn't show up. Explain THAT one to me.
IE Team Needs Maxthon
Like the rest of the planet, I was pretty happy to hear that the Internet Explorer team finally has a blog. They could save themselves a LOT of time if they just purchased Maxthon. It's absolutely amazing, customizable, and already fixes a lot of IE's quirks - namely, the PNG transparency bug. I've got the 'Correct PNG' tool button sitting in my Plugin bar, and it just takes a simple click - or I can run it automatically after every page load. Seriously, they'd be doing the world a great favor if they just purchased Maxthon and ran with the ball. Any other Maxthonites out there?
