Dog Days of Summer

We have 3 shih tzu's and they hate the summer heat. Poor looney things. Good Luck with the puppy searching!

My family has always had lots of poos, starting with a pekepoo. My cousin got a pekepoo at the same time (1980), and both of them turned out to be fantasic dogs.
Since then, we transitioned to full-blood mini-poos, one of which I “inherited”. Pepper has lived with me and my wife for about eight years now, and he's pretty much the best dog in the world.

I have a Bichon Frise, and it's a great dog if you are looking for a smaller dog. He also does not shed much! So it's good if you have bad allergies.

Basset hounds are great, if you don't want a dog that actually does something.

I still say, go for a pug ;-)

No yappers. Get a chocolate lab. I hate fucking small yapping dogs. Might as well get a rat for a pet.

Labradors are beautiful, I'd take a lab over a small dog.

Get yourself a yorkie :) big dog in a small package.. not necessarily yappy either. My Maxx is a lot of fun and a great companion.

Did you see the story on slashdot (I think, or maybe WSJ) about a paper in Science (or was it Nature?) that says DNA analysis reveals that certain “dogs” are actually cross-breeds between some dog breeds and some other species? It said that chihuahuas are actually not dogs but a species of rodent.
