D'ya think Toronto could handle a couple of Pirillos? We'll be in SF for the foreseeable future, but after that…?

Dunno about Toronto but I bet Chicago could ;-)

Speaking as a former Torontonian, I think we could handle a couple Pirillos. We've had a lot of other people stop by and the city's done fine… Well, kinda…

If you ever get up here we'd love to take you to Tim's for a coffee.

Hey Chris, I just made a photoshop of you and Leo in Toronto. Looks like you would fit in very well. There are also Tim Horton's everywhere you turn! Best coffee around!
here is the pic http://paul.kevinsblog.com It is from the entry on July 26th 2002.

Actually, Timmie's aren't as easy to find in Toronto as they are further north. For instance, Sudbury has a population of aprox. 150,000, and in the city itself, there's like 10 of them… And then the one in Cambrian college, one in Laurentian university, one in the Greater Sudbury hospital, one in the mall… In Toronto, it's easier to find Country Style's and Coffee Times, I've found.

Yeah, I'm in the soo, just north or sudbury, we have at least 6 of them here.

I come from a smaller town, about 11,000-12,000 people, and we have 2 Timmies, within a 2-3 minute trive, about a 5-10 min walk. I was in Toronto in March for WrestleMania, and had a blast. I saw a lot of Starbucks, Coffee Time. I didn't see many Timmies or Country Styles, where we were( Yonge St and King?) There was a Starbucks only a few shops down from the hotel. Why Chris? Is there Gonna Be a CaGnomedex??? I hope you have a great time in TO, Im only about 3.5 hours away(Im near Detroit) Just give us a report of how you liked TO..

Chris, you know I'm from Toronto - if you and Gretchen ever make it up this way I absolutely demand you call me and I'll show you around for an afternoon. We'll finish the day off with a trip to the famed Keg Mansion - a great haunted steak house. It's a great city, you'd like it here.
Cheers,
-R.

Toronto rules! I went last labor day weekend with my drinking pals and had a blast!

Tim Hortons isn't just north, it's south too!
I live in the Kitchener/Cambridge area and there's Timmies everywhere. I thinks they've got them some places in the states too, specifically Ohio.

I was in Michigan about 2 weeks ago, they have Timmies there, but when converted back to Canadian Funds, A large Coffee(a large there is our XL) and a Medium Coke, cost us $5. That is a little steep! :) Oh well.. Timmies has the best thing around, APPLE CIDER…

Why Toronto ? I could think of a million better places to live in , in Canada. I've visited and drove through it many times. It was always a pleasure to leave. No offense to any Toronto people ….this is my personal opinion.

Hey! I live in Toronto!
I think it's a very good idea! :)

This Torontonian says come on down. As for the Tim Hortons, they're literally everywhere in the city; I swear I've seen a single block with more than one franchise location.

Erynn, I totally agree, but I mean, who can resist an Ice Cap? Or there coffee is so good in the winter time. It's a nice place to be, and the exchange rate for the Americans is very good too.

creamy smooth and deep down cool :)

Some one in the media once reported there's a donut shop/coffee shop almost every 1.5 miles in Canada. With Tim Hortons coffee Chris, you can get your own coffee maker, and other supplies from them, they also have straight drive thrus with no seating in some of them, and most are open 24 hrs a day.
Move on up, matter of fact seen a car from Iowa today in town, some of your kinfolk scouting the area?

yes. move to toronto. good times. :).

Your moving? Dont move i like you being the host of call for help and being a citizin of the good ole US of A.

well, there is a ttv office in toronto..

I think it could be a week or something like that, On Location. I cannot think of anything off the top of my head… UPDATE: Like Regis and Kelly having their show in Florida or New Orleans…
I think that could be fun!!! but only Chris knows what he is doing in Toronto!

What's blue and white and sits in the basement? The Toronto Maple Leafs of course. Vancouver is a much better city (although the hockey team here sucks too) more water, mountains and fresh air. There's less people from Toronto too.

…and don't forget that B.C. bud as well ;)

Meh. If you're looking for something different whilst still in upper North America then I'd say the choice is between Vancouver and Montreal. The Centre of the Universe (Toronto) is not really all that interesting. Oh and the Tim Hortons are proliferating in Vancouver these days.
