Sure, there are always tasks in dire need of completion, but most hours would be spent perfecting breathing techniques. In and out, in and out - that about covers it. Latest cool discovery? A free program for OS X that converts ICNS resources to Windows icon files (true-colored, alpha-blended, multi-format). I made 20 megabytes worth (!) in a few minutes (thanks to the UNIX 'locate' tool and a GUI front-end). Now, before you start slagging the other white meat, Apple's RealBasic programming language can compile binaries for “us” and “them” at the same time. In fact, you'll probably start seeing more cross-platform utilities showing up in future issues because of that reason. Nice, eh? Yeah, so don't be so quick to iJudge. Perhaps one of these days I'll start writing code again? It's been a while. Gimme a few more four-day weekends and we'll talk.

As I shared with you a few days ago, we've found a way to download damn near every Star Trek album in MP3 format (legally). I started that process before I fired up the Xbox last night. Having recently conquered the three-dimensional Oddworld, I was looking for a less challenging game this time around. My blood wasn't ready for taking on another quest, though. Project Gotham Racing? Yeah, baby! Not since the days of Nintendo's RC Pro AM have I been so excited about sitting behind the virtual wheel. When I went to play it again this evening, the unit kept telling me that the disc was faulty. Buh?! I moved it downstairs and it was as though nothing was wrong. In fact, the audio and video were better than they ever had been. Ya gotta understand - I've been playing on my mini (mono) VCR/TV combo unit. Space is very limited here! We'll be moving soon. Where? Somewhere in the Bay area, for sure. I'd like to head further south. North? Can't go west. East? We have no idea.
