10 Things to do in Reno, Nevada

Did you know Las Vegas isn’t the only cool place to visit in Nevada? I’m serious – there are other places you can go, other things you can see! David sent us a list of things to check out if you’re ever in Reno!
- Visit a local casino! – I had to include this. People like to gamble, and they like to check out the casinos. I bet you didn’t realize there are just as many awesome casinos in Reno as there are in Vegas!
- Go Skiing! – Reno has more local ski resorts than any other US city, all within an hour’s drive.
- Check out a special event – There are special events being held almost daily in Reno, and you never know what you’ll find!
- Visit Lake Tahoe! – Only 45 minutes from Reno is the beautiful Lake Tahoe where you can hang out on a variety of beaches.
- Visit Virginia City! – Virginia City is an experience going back 150 years. Let your adventure begin with a step back in time.
- Visit a Museum! Reno has over 30 museums, catering to every type of personality you can think of.
- Take a ride down the river! – Taking a cruise down the river is fun, educational and has gorgeous views.
- Get Married! – If you can’t wait to devote yourself to the love of your life, go ahead and get married whiel you’re in Reno. There are tons of different options to choose from.
- Visit Circus Circus – This casino has an entire floor devoted to family fun. It is the largest arcade in town, and every 15 minutes there is a live circus show preformed.
- Check out the Sky Dome – Located in downtown Reno, the SkyDome has a small museum dedicated to space and science, as well as a dome theater that is always playing something interesting.
As you can clearly see, there is much more to do in Reno than just pass through on your way to Vegas! Stop and stay awhile – you won’t be disappointed.
